TOP-LEVEL GENETICS AND PERSONALIZED SERVICE: A RECIPE FOR AN NCGA YIELD CONTEST WIN
365 days of dedication, commitment, hard work, and a powerful passion for farming. Working sun-up to sundown.
That’s what it takes to be a corn champion.
But there’s no “corn championship.” The winners aren’t broadcast across national television for everyone to see. So… why do our Yield Masters put in a lifetime of hard work?
A passion… for increased yields. For feeding the world. For agriculture.
But because we know they don’t like to brag about their winnings… we want to do it for them.
2022 NCGA YIELD CONTEST RESULTS
The 2022 growing season was nothing short of challenging, with drought-like conditions across most of the country during the heart of summer, and cool, wet conditions delaying planting near the beginning of the planting season.
Despite the adversity, our agronomy team, growers, and products earned 3 national placements and 23 state winners, representing 13 states, 7 production categories, and 6 corn hybrids.
Talk about yields that win.
Better yet, talk about exceptional agronomics that backed winning farm, nutrient, and disease/pest management plans.
OUR 2022 NATIONAL YIELD MASTERS
In 2nd place nationally, Chad Henderson was our first 2022 Yield Master. With A643-52, Chad brought 333.0 bu/a, and also won 1st place in Alabama for his conventional irrigated acres.
Keeping pace with Chad, Mike Scholting took 2nd place nationally in the Conventional Non-irrigated Category with A645-16. Mike brought 322.4 bu/a, also winning the 1st place spot in Nebraska.
Coming up behind Chad and Mike was our next Yield Master, Spencer Sanderson. Spencer was ranked 3rd nationally, also with A643-52. Spencer won the No-Till Irrigated Category in Alabama with 323.8 bu/a.
